A lithium battery factory contains a large amount of production, refrigeration, power supply, environmental, and photovoltaic power generation equipment. Batteries need to undergo repeated charge-discharge testing in the laboratory before being shipped, with high electricity demand. Taking LG Chem, the largest chemical group in South Korea, as an example, the energy consumption for producing 1 kWh of power lithium batteries is 200-250 kWh/kg. Lithium battery production involves complex processes such as mixing, rolling, sheeting, winding, welding, and packaging, which generate various dust and metal particles scattered around the workshop.
To meet the electricity demand of this billion-dollar lithium battery "new force," the CG BUSWAY engineering team conducted on-site surveys. Through the PHS service model, a tailored lithium battery-specific busway power supply system implementation plan was developed -Battery Busway System。
The CG BUSWAY team provides the SK-LINE-EX high-current busway for lithium battery factories, which have high power consumption, dust, metal particles, and other characteristics. This busway model can supply huge currents to both production workshops and laboratory equipment simultaneously. In the field of power, energy saving can be achieved by reducing energy consumption. The SK-LINE-EX high-current busway is a new energy-saving and environmentally friendly product from CG BUSWAY, with an energy-saving certificate. It has a conductor resistivity of ≤0.01677Ω.mm²/m and a high conductivity of up to 101% IACS, ensuring high current transmission efficiency and minimal energy loss. This helps achieve energy savings while ensuring the transmission of high currents.
The SK-LINE-EX model busway adopts the SPR self-piercing riveting process, integrally formed with stable structure and good air tightness. It effectively blocks dust and metal particles from entering. The shell is made of aluminum-magnesium alloy profiles, surface treated with anodizing, and has passed a 1000-hour salt spray test, demonstrating corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. This enhances the protective capability of the busway, enabling it to provide safe, stable, continuous, and efficient power transmission for lithium battery production even in complex operating environments.
Considering the future upgrading of production technology and the continued expansion of production scale for customers, CG BUSWAY, in designing power supply solutions, prepares secondary capacity enhancement and reconfiguration plans in advance for customers. In case there is a need for capacity enhancement and reconfiguration, CG BUSWAY will provide customers with such services based on existing customer information in the project database, the actual situation of the factory, and the future electricity needs of the customers. The CG BUSWAY SK-LINE-EX model busway has a small footprint, all components are freely detachable and replaceable, with short installation time and project duration. By enhancing the power transmission capacity of the customer's electrical system, it also helps customers save a significant amount of manpower and resources that would otherwise be spent on upgrading the power system.
New energy leads future development. As one of the main types of new energy power batteries, lithium batteries have the advantages of high energy storage density, long service life, and environmental friendliness. However, they also have disadvantages such as poor safety and susceptibility to explosions. As a leading force in the billion-dollar lithium battery industry, the customer is continuously improving the safety of lithium batteries through their efforts. CG BUSWAY is also making continuous efforts to ensure the electrical safety of customers, allowing people worldwide to use safe busway power supply systems.
